GM Week Candidate Speech Recordings

Greetings Candidates and Voters!

RPI TV is pleased to announce that we will be recording, broadcasting, and sharing candidate speeches in the upcoming weeks.

If you are a candidate, please send an email to rpitv@union.rpi.edu to schedule an appointment to record your speech during one of the sessions listed below. If you are unable to make any of the listed sessions but would still like to record a speech, let us know and we may be able to work around your schedule.

3/26 – Friday – 12:00 PM – Union 3502
3/29 – Monday – 1:00 PM – Union 3502
3/30 – Tuesday – 2:00 PM – Union 3502
3/31 – Wednesday – 4:00 PM – Union 3502
4/1 – Thursday – 3:00 PM – Union 3502
4/2 – Friday – 12:00 PM – Union 3502
4/5 – Monday – 6:00 PM – Union 3502
4/6 – Tuesday – 6:00 PM – Union 3502
4/7 – Wednesday – 5:00 PM – Union 3502
4/8 – Thursday – 3:00 PM – Union 3502
4/9 – Friday – 3:00 PM – Union 3502

Grand Marshal and President of the Union candidates are permitted to speak for up to 10 minutes. Senators, Class Presidents, and Class Vice Presidents are permitted up to 5 minutes. All other positions are permitted up to 3 minutes. Candidates wishing to record multiple takes will be charged 50 cents per minute for each take after the first. RPI TV will handle any required editing.

Once your speech is recorded, RPI TV will post the speech on our website in a linkable format that can easily be shared with potential voters via email or social media. RPI TV will also begin showing candidate speeches on Campus Cable Channel 6 starting on April 5th.

The deadline to record a speech is April 9th. Appointments will be alloted in a first come, first serve basis, so please contact us early.
