On August 30th, RPI TV, along with over 160 other RPI clubs and organizations, will take over the Houston Field House from 6-9pm to help students find new ways to get involved at RPI.
Former RPI Student Commits Suicide in CII

On the morning of Thursday, March 29, a 29-year-old RPI ’00 alumnus named Anson J. Tripp drove from his home in Amherst, Massachusetts to the campus of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute to commit suicide. Sometime before 10:00am, he entered the southwest stairwell of the Low Center for Industrial Innovation (CII) and jumped from the 9th floor.
The CII and surrounding area were locked down, classes were canceled, and all academic buildings on campus were closed for the day. Normal operations will resume tomorrow.
