RPI TV

Why should I join RPI TV?

1. Become multi-talented.

Where else can you be a director, producer, writer, cameraperson, actor, anchor, composer, journalist, audio technician, commentator, graphic designer, editor, and much more? RPI TV has such a wide array of options, it’s easy to find a role you’ll enjoy. At the same time, you’ll learn valuable skills that help round out your technical background and give you a better appreciation of media in the real world.

2. Get to know your campus.

As RPI TV grows, we’ll be filming more events, doing more news, and covering more sports than ever before. Become part of our news team and tell students what going on and what to expect. Join our hockey crew and get in free to see the hockey games while showing the rest of the campus how good our Engineers are. Cover the elections process with us and get to know the issues, candidates, and your student government firsthand.

3. Explore your creative side.

Ever wanted to produce or write your own television show or film? Now you can. Whether it be comedy, reality, documentary, science fiction, drama, etc., we have the tools and the experience to make it happen.

How can I get involved?

1. Come to our business meetings.

We have business meetings every Tuesday evening at 9:30pm in Union 3202. Everyone is welcome. To become a member of RPI TV, all you have to do is come to one business meeting and give us your name, RIN, and e-mail address.

At business meetings, RPI TV officers talk about upcoming events or shows we're going to film and match crews to productions. Members form groups based on their interests, ranging from production development to editing to technical crew.
